Houston mayor says city launching its own probe into deadly ICE shooting
Houston Mayor John Whitmire said the city will start its own investigation into a shooting by an ICE officer. The officer shot and killed a 52‑year‑old Mexican man. Whitmire said he will not stop until there is a full and independent look at what happened. He promised the city will run a separate probe alongside any federal review.
