‘Nightmarish’ Wildfire in Crete Kills Two Firefighters as Thousands Evacuate

A wildfire broke out on the Greek island of Crete on Wednesday. Strong winds helped the fire spread quickly. Two firefighters died while trying to control the blaze. Thousands of people were evacuated, and the coast guard rescued some by sea.
