The publication's callout specifically invites bar and restaurant staff to submit their experiences of 'nightmare patrons,' creating a space for workers to share the sometimes outrageous behavior they endure while trying to provide quality service. The request comes after particularly egregious case of customer misconduct was reported, where a diner at an unspecified Sydney restaurant was captured on CCTV deliberately placing armpit hair into his meal, reportedly with the intention of later complaining about contamination to demand complimentary food or a refund. After allegedly confronting the head chef about the supposed contamination, the customer then departed without settling the bill, having specifically ordered the most expensive items available on the menu.
