British broadcaster Channel 5 is producing a factual drama about the interrogation of Kate McCann, mother of missing Madeleine McCann, using official police materials and documentary evidence from the three-month mark after her daughter's disappearance when Portuguese police named her as a formal suspect in the case. The 90-minute single drama, directed by Paula Wittig and written by Philip Ralph, will recreate the tense 48-hour period when detectives told Kate they no longer believed her account and considered her an 'arguida' - a formal suspect - threatening to completely derail the international search for her missing daughter.
