The proposed transaction would see United's Dutch striker Joshua Zirkzee move to Bergamo, while Brazilian midfielder Ederson would head in the opposite direction to Old Trafford. This speculative swap is understood to be part of United's broader strategy to reshape their squad during the upcoming summer transfer window, aiming to address specific positional needs with a cost-effective approach. The interest centers on 24-year-old midfielder Ederson, who has impressed for Atalanta since his arrival in 2022 and was instrumental in their UEFA Europa League triumph last season.
