Paul Thomas Anderson’s “One Battle After Another” leads all films with a record-breaking seven nominations, the most in the Actor Award’s history. The political thriller will compete for best cast ensemble, stunt ensemble and all five individual acting categories. Ryan Coogler’s “Sinners” is close behind with five nominations, including bids for best actor, supporting actor and supporting actress. It will also compete for best ensemble against the casts of “One Battle After Another,” Guillermo del Toro’s “Frankenstein,” Chloé Zhao’s “Hamnet” and Josh Safdie’s “Marty Supreme.” Michael B. Jordan and Leonardo DiCaprio will represent “Sinners” and “One Battle After Another” in the best actor category. Other nominees include Timothée Chalamet for “Marty Supreme,” Ethan Hawke for “Blue Moon” and Jesse Plemons for “Bugonia.” Best actress nominees include Jessie Buckley for “Hamnet,” Rose Byrne for “If I Had Legs I’d Kick You,” Chase Infiniti for “One Battle After Another” and Emma Stone for “Bugonia.” Warner Bros. led all studios with 12 noms from four titles, followed by Focus Features with six, A24 with four and Netflix with three.
