Akeso said its experimental trispecific antibody AK150 has received Investigational New Drug clearance from China’s National Medical Products Administration to start clinical trials in patients with advanced solid tumors. Shares of the company jumped 6% to HK$117 as of 05:29 GMT. The company said the drug was developed using its proprietary Tetrabody multispecific antibody platform and an AI-driven drug discovery system. AK150 becomes Akeso’s first trispecific antibody candidate to enter clinical-stage development, adding to the firm’s broader oncology pipeline of multispecific antibody therapies targeting difficult-to-treat cancers such as lung, liver, and pancreatic tumors.
