Brian Cox has joined season two of Paramount+ series Dexter: Resurrection as retired serial killer the New York Ripper. Though the Ripper may no longer be active as a killer, “he’s found a new way to live into his infamy by continuing to taunt the survivors of his long-ago murder spree,” according to the streamer’s announcement on Thursday. Dexter: Resurrection , which resurrected Michael C. Hall as Dexter Morgan, hails from showrunner Clyde Phillips. Hall also executive produces the sequel to Dexter , as does Scott Reynolds, Marcos Siega, Tony Hernandez, Lilly Burns, John Goldwyn, Sara Colleton, Veronica West, Kirsa Rein, Tanner Bean and Katrina Mathewson. The streaming series hails from Paramount Television Studios and Counterpart Studios. Season one of Dexter: Resurrection is available on Paramount+ via its “Premium” plan, which used to be called Paramount+ with Showtime; the OG Dexter was a big Showtime series. More to come.
