The information is based on a statement in a recent SEC filing. Pienkos, 44, is a registered CPA and has served as Centene’s Deputy Corporate Controller since August 2024. He previously held the position of Vice President of Finance & Accounting from August 2017 to August 2024 and has been with Centene in various accounting roles since March 2011. Prior to joining Centene, Pienkos worked as an auditor for KPMG LLP from August 2004 to March 2011. He holds both a BA and MA in Accounting from the University of Northern Iowa. In connection with his new role, Pienkos will receive a base salary of $440,000 and a target bonus set at 60% of his base salary. He will continue to participate in Centene’s incentive compensation programs and will receive benefits under the company’s executive severance plan. The company stated there are no family relationships or related party transactions between Pienkos and any director or executive officer.
