The third edition of the Climate Reality Check , a report on the depiction of climate change in feature filmmaking, was released this afternoon. The report is compiled by Good Energy, a consultancy firm that works with TV and film creators telling stories about the climate crisis. The Climate Reality Check evaluates films and television series against the following criteria: whether climate change appears in the narrative media, and whether a character knows it. The report states that sixteen Oscar-nominated scripted feature films met the eligibility criteria this year. To be eligible, a film must be set in the present, recent past, or future, on Earth. And of those sixteen, five passed the check. Those films were Arco, Bugonia , Jurassic World Rebirth , The Lost Bus , and Sirāt .
