Arise Artists Agency continues to expand its nonfiction and alternative programming division, bringing on Derek Blum as an Unscripted Agent. Blum most recently spent over two years at Innovative Artists Agency, following a more than six-year tenure at A3 Artists Agency, where he worked alongside Brian Cho. He began his career at UTA before moving to Paradigm in 2012, where he became an Unscripted TV Agent, and later continued his work at APA. Blum represents a roster of top showrunners and producers and focuses on staffing across all genres of unscripted programming, including competition series, game shows, documentary series, food, home renovation, and talk. He is also active in packaging, working with production companies as well as select on-camera talent and hosts. At Arise, he will continue focusing on staffing and representing award-winning showrunners and directors, while expanding his work with production companies and talent.
