(NYSE:NKE) to $69 from $77 while maintaining an Outperform rating on the stock. The firm reduced its fiscal 2027 earnings per share estimate to $2.00 from $2.30. Nike shares have declined 18% year-to-date, compared with a 10% drop in the S&P discretionary sector. Evercore ISI said the pullback reflects concerns about decelerating China trends, lack of impactful innovation to drive sustainable acceleration in point-of-sale trends globally, and decelerating multi-year gross margin stacks into the second half of fiscal 2027. The firm expects North America to show ongoing signs of stabilization and Europe to remain largely consistent with Nike’s December messaging regarding excessive promotions in the market. Evercore ISI noted the brand has a World Cup strategy that should bolster confidence in discussing those markets in the near term.
