Henry Lee, forensic scientist who testified at O.J. Simpson trial, dies at 87

Dr. Henry Lee, the renowned forensic scientist who gained national prominence for his testimony in the O.J. Simpson murder trial, has died at the age of 87, as confirmed by his family in Connecticut on an unspecified date in 2023. Lee rose to international fame during Simpson's 1995 criminal trial, where his expert testimony challenged the handling of crucial blood evidence that became central to the controversial acquittal of the former football star. Born in China and immigrating to the United States as a young man, Dr. Lee built an extraordinary career spanning more than five decades in forensic science, serving as the chief criminalist for the Connecticut State Police before founding the Henry C. Lee Institute of Forensic Science at the University of New Haven.
