The project is a remake of the 1992 feature Single White Female that adapted author John Lutz’s novel SWF Seeks Same and starred Bridget Fonda and Jennifer Jason Leigh . Ortega and Russell serve as producers alongside Stacey Sher and Marisa Paiva. The news of Ortega and Russell leading the movie was announced last year. The film collected $84.1 million at the global box office ($195.8 million today). Ortega is currently in production on the third season of the Netflix series Wednesday . She is set to star in Taika Waititi’s Sony feature Klara and the Sun , in addition to J.J. Abrams’ The Great Beyond that Warner Bros. will release later this year. Russell will soon star in Hope from director Na Hong-jin. DeLappe is represented by CAA, Entertainment 360 and Schreck Rose. Ortega is repped by by CAA and Jackoway Austen. Russell is repped by UTA and Lichter Grossman. Deadline was first to report on DeLappe’s involvement. More to come.
