Actress Jessica Belkin has joined the cast of the Fox and Freemantle Baywatch reboot in a series regular role as Charlie Vale, the biological daughter of Baywatch captain Hobie Buchannon, for the upcoming 2026-27 television season. The character description reveals that Charlie is a fearless and passionate young woman raised in Texas who leaves her complicated home life in Galveston to earn her place as a Baywatch lifeguard, seeking the mentorship from the father she never knew. The reboot will feature 12 episodes with production set to begin this spring on Los Angeles' famed Venice Beach and at the historic FOX Studio Lot in Century City. Stephen Amell was previously announced as Hobie Buchannon, with David Chokachi also reprising his role of Cody Madison from the original series.
