Verdict Mickey Rourke Evicted From L.A. Home After Failing to Pay Nearly $60,000 in Rent The actor recently said he was not involved with the GoFundMe set up for him, which raised $90,000 By Angie Martoccio Angie Martoccio Contact Angie Martoccio on X View all posts by Angie Martoccio March 11, 2026 Mickey Rourke has been evicted from his Los Angeles home, after failing to pay nearly $60,000 in rent. As Rolling Stone reported in late December, the actor fell behind in payments for the three-bedroom Spanish bungalow he began renting in April 2025, around the same time he was asked to leave U.K.’s Celebrity Big Brother after “ inappropriate language ” and “unacceptable behavior.” The court documents, obtained by People , show that the Los Angeles County Superior Court ruled in favor of landlord Eric Goldie in an unlawful detainer case (as the Los Angeles Times pointed out, the home was built in the 1920s, and was previously occupied by novelist Raymond Chandler). Similar to the initial eviction filing in December 2025 — in which Rolling Stone confirmed that Rourke wasn’t at the property when someone tried to reach him there — the judgment was filed on March 9 and entered by “default.” According to People , this is likely due to the fact that Rourke did not respond to the complaint or appear to defend himself within the time required by California Law. Amid his legal troubles, a GoFundMe was set up for Rourke in early January, though he quickly claimed he wasn’t involved with the fundraiser. “If I needed money, I wouldn’t ask for no fucking charity,” he said. “I’d rather stick a gun up my ass and pull the trigger.” Kimberly Hines, his manager of more than a decade, then admitted she set up the account: “If Mickey doesn’t want this help from people that want to support him and his fans, then that money will be returned,” she said.
