Mubi said it will announce its release plans for the film in the near future. The hotly-anticipated film is Refn’s first feature since The Neon Demon in 2016. The Tokyo-set thriller, stars Sophie Thatcher , Charles Melton ( May December ), Havana Rose Liu ( Hal & Harper ), Kristine Froseth ( The First Lady ), Diego Calva , Shioli Kutsuna ( Deadpool and Wolverine ), Aoi Yamada ( Perfect Days ) and Hidetoshi Nishijima ( Drive My Car ). Plot details are being kept under wraps. Neon has pre-bought North American rights ahead of the film’s premiere, widely rumored to be in Cannes this year.
