EXCLUSIVE: The Apple TV series Palm Royale has taken its final bow. The Emmy-nominated dramedy was canceled at the streamer after two seasons. Palm Royale was created by Abe Silva and starred an ensemble cast led by Kristen Wiig, which included Laura Dern, Allison Janney, Ricky Martin, Josh Lucas, Leslie Bibb, Amber Chardae Robinson, Mindy Cohn, Julia Duffy, and the legendary Carol Burnett. The show’s first season received 11 Emmy Award nominations, including Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy for Wiig, and Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for Burnett. Of the 11 noms, the series took home an Emmy statuette for Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music. For Season 2, Wiig has been nominated for the Annual Actor Awards, as well as a GLAAD Media Award nomination for Outstanding Comedy Series.
