The news comes after the installment dropped on the streamer in the beginning of September, with no word on its future since. The coming-of-age drama hailed from Outer Banks creators Jonas and Josh Pate, who formed a real-life rock band to star at the center of the musical coming-of-age drama. William Lipton, Axel Ellis, Jeremy Yun, Zendé Murdock and Jesse Golliher starred as the band on the show, and they are currently on tour offscreen. The group was formed in 2021 after Jonas issued a casting call for a group to appear on the Netflix hit Outer Banks . Lilah Pate, Maximo Salas, Kelley Pereira, Marley Aliah, Mark Wystrach, Brooklyn Decker, Hayes MacArthur and Shea Pritchard rounded out the season one cast. Season two would have followed the group in a “super crappy van on the regional tour playing colleges and 200 capacity rooms” as they worked to performing at a premium festival, before ending with them opening at Bonnaroo. He had plans for season three to track the group opening for another band on a European tour before the fourth installment would position them as “a headliner with 5,000 capacity rooms and all the pressures and issues with fame.” Season five, then, would have captured the band on a stadium tour.
