Dean is a fierce competitor by nature. “There’s not liking to lose, and then there’s you,” his girlfriend, Jessie, who’s also the coach’s daughter, tells him. But between his dad (Blair Underwood) and his coach (Shawn Doyle), he’s being pushed and pulled beyond reason. Then there are entitled, show-off players from opposing teams, whose trash talk is often racist. So not only does Dean not mind fighting, he frequently wants to. You kind of can’t blame him.
