A 36-year-old man was arrested after attempting to burn an American flag at a police station in Northern California on Sunday. A sergeant from the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office reported a man named Wilber Geovany Orejel-Noguera lowering the flag at South Lake Tahoe Police Department (SLTPD).

A 36-year-old man was arrested after attempting to burn an American flag at a police station in Northern California on Sunday. A sergeant from the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office reported a man named Wilber Geovany Orejel-Noguera lowering the flag at South Lake Tahoe Police Department (SLTPD). “SLTPD was notified by an El Dorado County Sheriffs Sergeant that a male subject had lowered the American Flag from the front of the SLTPD station to the ground and was trying to light it on fire. Officers quickly arrived and detained a 36 year old South Lake Tahoe resident,” the police department posted on Facebook.
