The Sox are trying to avoid being swept.</p><p>The two-run shot to left was Murakami’s 21st of the season. It's the first time he’s gone deep in 12 games since returning from a right hamstring strain he suffered on May 29 and that sidelined him for six weeks.</p><p>Murakami was tied for the major league lead with 20 homers when he suffered the injury running out a grounder.<br></p>
