Freestyle Digital Media has acquired the golf crime comedy “Mooch,” written by, directed by and starring Jeff Ryan. “Mooch” will debut on digital platforms starting Aug. Ryan, who retains theatrical rights through is First-Names Films, will release the film in a national roadshow of one-night screenings developed in partnership with Emo Nite, featuring live performances from its soundtrack artists. “The rollout reimagines the theatrical experience for the ‘Mooch’ audience: part screening, part concert, part reunion for a generation raised on Warped Tour,” the filmmakers said in a statement.
