LaMelo Ball is allegedly leaving Charlotte with some unpaid debts. Court records viewed by The California Post on Tuesday show Ball was sued Monday — just weeks after he was traded from the Hornets to the Timberwolves — over accusations he owes a North Carolina landlord more than $100,000 in missed rent checks. According to a copy of the lawsuit, Ball and Agape Property Management Group entered into an agreement in December 2020 for the NBA player to rent two swanky units in a fancy uptown Charlotte condominium complex. Former Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton used to own the spots, The Charlotte Observer previously reported.
