<p>A 50-year-old man was hospitalized after being shot in the left thigh Saturday afternoon in Austin, police said.</p><p>An unknown assailant inside a black SUV fired a shot in the direction of the man, who was in an alley in the 700 block of North Menard Avenue, about 3:25 p.m., police said.</p><p>The vehicle fled in an unknown direction, and the man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in fair condition.</p><p>Area Four Detectives are investigating.</p>
