Jacob Daniel Auchincloss, commonly known as Jake Auchincloss, is an American Democratic politician, businessman, and former United States Marine Corps officer. He has represented Massachusetts’s 4th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives since 2021.
Background & History
Born on January 29, 1988, to a wealthy New England family, Auchincloss grew up in a privileged environment that afforded him opportunities in education and civic engagement. He earned his bachelor's degree from Harvard University in 2010, after which he served in the United States Marine Corps. He entered public service as a member of the Newton City Council, serving from 2015 to 2021, before running for Congress.
