Background & History
Merrimack College was established in 1947 as Merrimack Junior College and later became Merrimack College in 1983. The Warriors’ athletic program developed alongside the college, joining the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) to compete at the Division I level. Over the years the programs expanded, adding teams such as ice hockey and football to the roster.
