Kari Lake Halperin (née Lake; KAIR-ee; born August 23, 1969) is an American political figure and former television news anchor who has served as the senior advisor to the United States Agency for Global Media (USAGM) since March 2025. Lake served as the deputy chief executive and the acting chief executive of USAGM from July to November 2025; in March 2026, a federal judge ruled that Lake's appointment and tenure were illegal and voided her acts as chief executive. She was the unsuccessful Republican Party nominee in the 2022 Arizona gubernatorial election and in the 2024 United States Senate election in Arizona.
