The high-stakes matchup, which attracted a season-high crowd of 6,108 spectators just hours before the Super Bowl, served as a critical battle for conference supremacy as the Bruins sought to extend their winning streak and solidify their resume for the NCAA tournament selection committee. Despite a late-game surge from the Wolverines, UCLA's seasoned roster managed to maintain control after leading by 11 points with less than two minutes remaining. Michigan had a final opportunity to force overtime in the closing seconds, but Syla Swords’ desperate three-point attempt fell short as an airball with 2.2 seconds left on the clock.
