Murder arrest after man dies in shopping centre attack 7 minutes ago Share Save Rachael McMenemy Share Save A person has been arrested after a man died following an attack at a shopping centre in Milton Keynes. The incident happened at the Centre:MK on Saturday afternoon and large police cordon remains in place. A 50-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder, Thames Valley Police said. Friends and family members of the victim said earlier today in online posts that he had died. Officers urged anyone with concerns or information to contact them. Thames Valley Police has been approached for more details. Centre:MK said the complex would be closed on Sunday. "A scene will remain in place while officers carry out enquiries. "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of all those affected. We appreciate your patience and understanding at this time," it said in a statement. Milton Keynes Central MP Emily Darlington said it was "a shock" but urged people not to speculate online. She said: "Its really important that the police are there and they're investigating and anybody who has any information that might be useful to the police, I urge them to get in touch with them." The Labour MP added the shopping centre had "always been a very safe place" and somewhere she has gone with her children. But she again asked people not to "jump to conclusions".
