The streamer has decided to end Star Trek: Starfleet Academy after season two. Starfleet Academy recently finished airing its debut season. Paramount+ had (rather optimistically, as it turned out) already ordered a second season, which recently finished production. The news comes at a time when there are no longer any Star Trek TV shows in production, though there are two previously filmed seasons of Strange New Worlds yet to air. The show also never managed to chart among Nielsen’s top 10 streaming lists each week for viewership.
