The exec has been named the new president of OverDrive , a company backed by private equity giant KKR that explains its mission as connecting libraries, universities and schools with “digital content that transforms learning and expands access to knowledge.” To help the company write its next chapter, OverDrive has hired DeBevoise, who will also serve as a member of the firm’s board of directors. The company also operates the ebook and audiobook app Libby, the educational app Sora, and the video streaming app Kanopy . During his tenure at CBS and Paramount, he “oversaw the company’s digital portfolio and helped launch and scale direct-to-consumer streaming services, including Paramount+ (originally CBS All Access), CBSN, and CBS Sports HQ,” the company highlighted. “DeBevoise joins OverDrive at a moment of strong platform momentum.
