Combs was found guilty of violations of the Mann Act at his sensational federal trial in Manhattan this past summer, but dodged more serious counts of sex trafficking and racketeering. In a dramatic turnaround for the fallen rap idol and his legal team, he was sentenced to 50 months in prison instead of the time served sentence they were seeking. It’s the latest date change for Combs, after the date was moved from May to June. “Mr. Combs is an active participant in the Residential Drug Abuse Program and has taken his rehabilitation process seriously from the start. He is fully engaged in his work, focused on growth and committed to positive change,” a representative for Combs told Page Six on Wednesday. The rapper and fashion icon, who reached near-billionaire status ahead of his trial, is serving his sentence at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey, roughly 40 miles from Philadelphia. His attorneys asked that their client be sent to the federal facility, as it is known to have a rehab program.
