Death toll in Spain border crisis reaches 67 as tens of thousands cross back in to Morocco
At least 67 people died while trying to cross from Morocco into the Spanish city of Ceuta. Some drowned in the sea and others were killed in a stampede on a breakwater. Tens of thousands of migrants attempted the crossing, and many have since returned to Morocco. The Spanish government said it will build a fence or sea barrier to stop more crossings.
