As Warsh’s Fed faces pressure to act on inflation, these indicators show it’s at its lowest in years

The Federal Reserve is facing pressure to do something about rising inflation. Some inflation gauges, called trimmed mean measures, show that inflation is actually at its lowest level in years. These gauges leave out big price jumps and drops to give a clearer view. Meanwhile, the usual headline inflation numbers look higher, creating a mixed picture.
