Trump administration stops work on Great Lakes Asian carp project near Joliet

The Trump administration ordered a work stoppage on the Brandon Road Interbasin Project near Joliet, Illinois. The project aims to keep invasive Asian carp out of the Great Lakes. Contractors had already received about $2 million of materials and set up trailers. Work was supposed to start this week with shaft drilling planned for September.
