Obama endorses Democratic Iowa state rep running for US Senate against Trump-backed House Republican

Former President Barack Obama said he supports Josh Turek, a Democratic state representative from Iowa, for the U.S. Senate. Obama made a short video where he and Turek play a basketball game called horse and talk about the race. In the video Obama said, "Now the ball is in your court, Iowa," urging voters to choose Turek. Obama also criticized Republican candidate J.D. Vance, saying he is promoting a "blood and soil" idea of "We the People."
