Dem senator swipes credit for bill he opposed amid heated reelection bid: 'Disturbing pattern'

Sen. Jon Ossoff, a Democrat from Georgia, says he helped get money for military projects in his state. He points to a new elementary school at Fort Benning, better conditions at Fort Stewart, pay raises for troops, and improvements to Georgia's foster care system. These projects are part of the Military Construction and Veteran Affairs bill, known as MilCon-VA. However, Ossoff voted against that bill when it was first passed.
