Illinois officer who killed Sonya Massey denied medical release from prison
Sean Grayson, a former sheriff’s deputy in Illinois, was sentenced to 20 years in prison for shooting Sonya Massey in her home in 2024. He has colon cancer that has spread to his liver and lungs. State officials denied his request for an early medical release from prison. His lawyer said the cancer was advanced when he was sentenced in January.
