Southern university requires business suits, bans du-rags and other headwear in new dress code
Tuskegee University in Alabama has introduced a new dress code for students. Students must wear a business suit and shoes for formal meetings and cannot wear casual or unprofessional clothes in class or the cafeteria. The code also bans head coverings such as du-rags, hats, and scarves, except for religious or medical reasons. University president Mark Brown says the rule aims to create a more professional educational environment.
