The major labels propose rules to keep AI slop off the charts

Major record labels, including Universal, Sony, and Warner, have suggested new rules for music charts. They want AI‑generated or AI‑assisted songs to be clearly labeled. The labels also say such songs should not be allowed to appear on international charts unless they meet special conditions. This goes further than a recent labeling proposal from industry groups like the RIAA and IFPI.
