U.S. launches heavy strikes on Iran after attack on base in Jordan

The United States launched a heavy wave of air strikes on Iran after Iranian forces attempted to attack a U.S. base in Jordan. The strikes hit sites in southern Iran, including Qeshm Island and Bushehr, and targeted Revolutionary Guard facilities. Iran responded by threatening to punish the United States and releasing video of retaliatory strikes on U.S. targets in Jordan.
