WATCH: America Strong: Lifeguard heroically who rescues boy speaks out for the first time
A 10‑year‑old boy was swept into the ocean by strong waves at a California beach. Sixteen‑year‑old lifeguard Ryder Williams raced into the water and pulled the boy to safety. This happened on July 25 at Seabright State Beach in Santa Cruz. Williams has now spoken publicly for the first time about the rescue.
