Building the future, atom by atom — NSF deploys $108M for materials science at 6 research centers

The U.S. National Science Foundation announced $108 million for six materials research centers. Each center will receive $18 million over six years. They will study exotic materials, such as those where light and matter combine, and soft materials that could deliver medicines precisely in the body.
