India cracks down on protesters accused of ‘abusing’ Modi

Indian authorities have started legal actions against young protesters who criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Police have filed cases against many of them for allegedly abusing the leader. At the same time, social media posts related to the protests have been removed or blocked. Some protesters also report facing online harassment and threats.
