The college recruiting scene for local high school basketball has changed a lot this summer. In the past, events like the Morris Shootout brought many college coaches to watch players. Starting in 2019, the NCAA introduced June Live Periods, which moved the evaluation window. Now coaches see players mainly during these new periods instead of the old summer shootouts.
