Mamdani Leaves Door Open to Paying Reparations to Black New Yorkers

Mayor Zohran Mamdani said New York City is studying whether to give reparations to Black residents. He called the work "critically important." The study will examine past harms and consider possible payments. Mamdani did not promise any money yet, but said the door to reparations remains open.
