Inside Trump's Senate playbook

President Trump uses three tactics with Republican senators: persuade them, ignore them, or bully them. This week he sent two top aides to a Senate GOP lunch to argue for a third reconciliation bill that includes parts of the SAVE Act. After the lunch, his chief of staff, Susie Wiles, met with Senate GOP leaders. The strategy does not always work, but it often creates drama.
