Palestinian authorities ask Supreme Court to halt $656M judgment pending appeal

Palestinian authorities asked the U.S. Supreme Court to halt a $656 million judgment while they appeal. The judgment comes from a lawsuit by Americans who were killed or wounded in attacks in Israel. A lower court had reinstated the judgment after an earlier Supreme Court ruling. The Palestinians say paying the amount now would destabilize critical government services in the West Bank.
