Kelsey Plum heads to Phoenix Mercury in blockbuster deal hours before WNBA trade deadline

The Los Angeles Sparks traded guard Kelsey Plum to the Phoenix Mercury. In return, the Sparks received forward Monique Akoa Makani, a 2027 first‑round pick and a 2028 second‑round pick. The trade was completed just hours before the WNBA trade deadline. Plum, a two‑time champion and five‑time All‑Star, has been out with a leg injury since June.
